Rift is in the beginning phases of Summerfest... with sunplants and sunfish and tons of fun things to get and have. New titles... Sizzling... Counselor... The Sunburned... new activities and scavenger hunts and tasks to be performed daily. Darrel in Meridian wants you to stomp bugs and wishes he brother were there... and apparently Asha has asked Sylver to hang out in the courtyard and become sunburned for us in order to get some air and make things... well... more inviting to the ascended he has created.
Foods for all occasions and all sorts of toys to include turning yourself into a rainy day friend and learning to make yourself into a void of darkness... bottles of bees and bottles of fireflies and who doesn't want a pet ant to take with you to be sure someone is always at your impromptu picnic high in the hills of the Moonshade Highlands?
The maze pictured above lasted less than one day and the kiddies cried that it was just too hard to navigate (it was very frustrating because overhanging plants prevented shifting your camera view to an overhead and so being stuck in a corner was often an issue) the way it was made. The bathing suit is just awesome because she looks just like jules... and I'd LOVE to find it! GOGO Bahmi belly dancers! Particularly the male ones!
It is also summer in WoW where the peoples of Azeroth have just completed the Summer Fire Festival and are already preparing for the next world event. The Darkmoon Faire invites one and all to a world of wonderfully silly activities and treats for all levels and much reward from fishing.
I'm pressured to return and have many things I'd love to do there. I have also many things I would rather NOT do and so will have to find a way to articulate them. I could give a shit about raiding if it means that I can give a shit about having fun and laughing out loud and enjoying the really familiar and loved world that Azeroth is for me. Forever and always Azeroth will be "home" for this geeky gamer chic.
In preparation for Mists of Pandaria I'm relaxing and watching posts and wishing that Blizzard hadn't been so mercenary by selling beta keys to folks willing to pay a year in advance for their product. I don't have that much faith in them anymore, to be honest and would like them to build that faith and trust the way other companies do... up front with delivery and spectacular successes.
I'm still peeved at Blizzard for the fiasco they've made from one of the most amazing and rewarding games I've ever played. Diablo III is still officially broken for players like me.
Auction house prices have plummeted, I'm not sure anyone is even using the cash auction houses except to list and pray and Blizzard has yet to correct the real issues in the game by balancing drops with levels and making it possible to gear without the random is random bullshit they seem to have entirely misunderstood from conception to application.
Remember... I would still be playing Diablo III and only Diablo III if they hadn't made it just flat out impossible to do what I want to do without spending tons of gold I can't earn without also earning levels I'd rather not have. I should NOT be level 50 picking up level 25 class specific gear with utterly useless class specific stats from bosses I'm killing in Act IV of Nightmare difficulty.
I'm reading and watching and waiting. I'll check the patch notes for as long as it takes. I really really loved this damned game and the problems have really diminished my already lacking trust and love for the Blizzard family of games.
Buffy and Julien can hang out and keep each other company outside the door to the last boss on Nightmare difficulty until I can either find a way to rebalance their considerable skills and armor or afford to get them the pieces they really need without buying gold from some seedy back alley vendor.
Skyrim: Dawnguard expansion has been released for Xbox! (above is actually wolves-NO SPOILITS!)
If you have a 360 you can be a vampire or even better... YOU CAN HUNT THEM!
Buffy wants to be born. I can feel her calling to me. It has been so long since I played my most favorite OMG WTF THIS IS SO AMAZINGLY COOL game of all time that I will have to start over from the beginning and level her with care and concern to every detail. When it is released for PC, that is.
A world of dark explorations and new areas and factions to choose between. War in Tamriel is never really over and our enemies are always changing face and space until we are required to combat them in order to survive.
There's a NEW MMO in town and it looks spectacularly funky and fun. Real world style zombies and a world changed and torn by events outside of our control.
Imagine you are asleep and wake up choking... did you swallow something? Just sleep with your mouth open? You drink some water... disconcerted and a little weirded out... and by tomorrow you've pretty much forgotten all about it.
Until a few days later when you're blasting your apartment to bits around you and seem to be full of some scary energy that you can't control.
Zombies are coming out of the woodwork and you've got some new abilities you're unsure of... are you a Templar? Illuminati? Dragon?
I haven't got the money or a machine powerful enough to run it and so I watch while honey plays it and wonder if I could be lured into this new and wholly familiar and darkened world? I really believe I could be. Post-apocalyptic zombie fest of really yummy proportions? Oh yeah... I'd be in.
Lindsey Stirling. Skyrim. Zelda. Her own yummy stuffs. The kid has some serious props, her head firmly on her shoulders even when her feet seem tied to the end of her bow and likes to CosPlay... what's not to love? I figure the guys at Trans Siberian Orchestra will be recruiting heavily... or perhaps not? She's fun anyway. I found her accidentally and am SOOOO glad I did. I really hope you enjoy.
Looking for work from home opportunities... finally setting up my office with interwebs and a desk and all the ways that I can look for work and do my own thing and finally get serious about shit.
peace and if not peaceful then watch out world... there's a ton of games and a lot of them are REALLY fun! killin' zombies and rockin' out at the beach with my telaran homies is just part of the fun to be had... there's also folks in Azeroth who do not know where Azshara was immortalized in ice... and I have no idea how much trouble I can get into on Tamriel when I can hunt dragons AND vampires... oh my.
